Last September 27 to October 1, 2000, we joined the Davao Agri-Industrial Trade Exhibit, in Davao City sponsored by the Department of Agriculture and the Davao Chamber of Commerce. Mega Fishing Corporation was awarded as the "VIEWER'S CHOICE" for the best indoor exhibitor.
Last year's "Outstanding Investor of the Year" Awardee -- Mega Fishing Corporation -- has proven that industry and hard work couple with bountiful resources in the region make a difference in promoting growth and development in the country.
Mega Fishing Corporation, makers of "Mega Sardines" bested other entries in the Large Scale Industry Category -- Agriculture Sector, as selected by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the annual awards held in Manila. Former President Joseph Estrada personally handed over the award to Mega Fishing corporation in the ceremony held at the Manila Hotel last October 12, 2000.
"We take pride endorsing Mega Fishing Corporation for the award", said Zamboanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry Foundation, Inc. (ZCCFI) President Antonio C. Lim.
The commercial deep sea purse seiner fishing company based in Zamboanga City was nominated by the Department of Trade and Industry and was endorsed for the award by the ZCCIFI.
Thus, the corporation proves that maximum use of local raw products can generate more income, jobs, as well as by-products can have it's own rewards. In this case, the Outstanding Countryside Investor Award of the Year 2000. |
