Mega Fishing Corporation (MFC), is a
commercial deep-sea purse seine fishing company based in Zamboanga City, which
has experience in fishing for more than 30 years. Mega Fishing Corporation is
able to develop market niche in this Southern part of the Philippines. MFC is
currently supplying 80% of raw materials for various canning companies both in
Metro Manila area and Zamboanga. Moreover, it supplies the other parts of
Mindanao's fresh fish requirements.
MFC
own seven sets of commercial deep-sea purse seines totaling 55 fishing vessels.
The vessels are fully equipped with high tech sonar and fish finders to have the
competitive edge of locating more fish. Furthermore, MFC has its own 175 meters
marginal Warf, dry-docking and repair facilities; a 360 tons ice plant
(considered as the biggest in the whole Mindanao) and 600 metric tons cold
storage plant. Modern steam dry fishmeal plant and high-tech sardines canning
plant, which are all located in Zamboanga City. MFC adheres to the notion of a
re-engineered and high performance company to produce a distinct and unique
product.
MFC
through its own canning factory, Ayala Seafood Corporation, started its own
brand MEGA SARDINES. Each Mega Sardines product is guaranteed for its high
quality and freshness because it takes less than 12 hours from "Catching to
Canning". Using selected fresh raw materials. The freshness also ensures the
potency of Omega 3 oil which is naturally present in sardines which lower blood
cholesterol levels.
MFC
is able to introduce to the local market the very first in the world, MEGA
Sardines in Handy Pouch at an affordable price with premium quality. It is very
well received not only in the Philippines but also in other countries thereby
expanding the business through export. This is also available in institutional
packages of 500g, 1 kg or 2 kg.
