In 1999, to support the fishing operation, the company built an ice plant with 150-ton capacity.In 2002, an additional 360-ton ice plant was added; which is considered as the biggest ice plant in the whole Mindanao with 700-ton capacity and a 600-metric tons cold storage producing 2200 blocks of ice a day! MFC will also be building another 300 ton cap. ice plant in Cawit, Zamboanga for its pier services making MFC the biggest ice producer in the Philippines. The specifications are as follows:
- Total building capacity per day = 300 tons/day
- Total land area = 3,600 sq.m. for plant A & B
- Cold storage = 750 tons
- Ice blocks per day = 2,200
