In 1999, to support the fishing operation, the company built a 150 tons capacity block ice plant. In 2002, an additional 360 tons ice plant was added; which is considered as the biggest ice plant in the whole Mindanao with 700 tons capacity and an 600 metric tons cold storage in which to store the ice in producing 2200 blocks of ice a day! MFC will also be building another 300 ton cap. ice plant in Cawit, Zamboanga for it's pier services. which makes MFC the biggest ice producer in the Philippines. The specifications are as follows:
- Total building capacity per day = 300 tons/day
- Total land area = 3,600 sq.m. for plant A & B
- Cold storage = 750 tons
- Ice blocks per day = 2,200
